Remote Assistance Sessions

Fixing the problems remotely

Some problems such as virus infection, health check , system adjustments or help on programs may be solved remotely by accessing your computer from our premises.
If your internet connection is still working, we will be able to establish a secure connection with your computer and provide a one to one remote assistance  just like if the engineer was sitting front of your screen.
This process uses what is called a Virtual Private Network protocol (VPN) and allows to create a secure direct line between 2 computers for the time of the session. To open a remote assistance session, you have to give and receive a password, and that’s it. Then the engineer is able to see your screen and start working on your system, such as configuring programs, speeding up your system, cleaning your temporary files or running anti virus scans.

Laptop repair North London has chosen Teamviewer to make such connections, for its security properties and its ease of use. There is nothing to install, and you keep full control of your computer, keyboard, and mouse at all times. You can as well interrupt the session at anytime, or change the parameters of the access to your computer.
When the remote assistance session is over, you just press disconnect and everything is finished. Each session is unique, and for any future remote assistance, you will have to give and receive a new password, and a new authorisation, to establish a new connection. This solution is safe, quicker than a home visit, and even cheaper, since there is no travel expense.
